When More Specials sticks to the band’s ska strengths, it shows more than a few signs of the greatness that was their self-titled debut just one year earlier. But when The Specials try to stretch their legs, it’s obvious why More Specials lacked the impact of its predecessor in 1980, and it’s lasting legacy today.
